It's been a long time...

I haven't posted in a really long time. I've had a lot going on.

Last week, I spent most of the week in Chicago (for work). We did a lot of planning and work, but we also had some fun. We stayed at the Hyatt, where we'll have Convention in 2008. It is a massive hotel. From our meeting room window, we could see Navy Pier. The first day we met and then went to dinner at this amazing restaurant, Carnivale. It is a latin restaurant and it is AWESOME!

The second day we were there, we went to Navy Pier to check out some boats for us to charter for July 4th. We looked at two boats and actually took the lunch cruise on one of them (The Spirit of Chicago). The weather was beautiful and that was a great way to see Chicago!

That night, we also went to see Wicked. What a night! We were in the 7th and 8th rows. The show is great, but even better in the Oriental Theater. It was beautiful.

Thursday, we worked and then caught our flight home. I got home and watched Grey's and 6 degrees.

I've having an allergy problem, so I rested all weekend. It was back to work on Monday. I do have a busy week, but I leave on Friday to see Meredith! We are going to see The Lion King. I'm most excited about seeing Meredith. I miss her a lot. I also love Colorado and I haven't been in awhile. Denver here I come!

Random Stuff

Last week wore me out, but I'm feeling much better this week...so far...it is only Monday! This weekend I was busy, but I took the time to watch some of my Netflix shows. I watched the first season of Weeds. It was so good! I also watched Akeelah and the Bee. I highly recommend this movie. I really wanted to see and it was so really surprised that it was even better than I thought!

This weekend I volunteered for the Children's Miracle Network radiothon, which was broadcast from Cook Children's. I had to be there at 5:45 a.m.! I worked this shift so that I could go to work after (on Friday). On Saturday, I volunteered for the 3 day expo for the Breast Cancer 3 Day. I met some great people and I'm so excited for the event. It is only 46 days away! I can't believe it!

Slumber Party!

Last night I had a slumber party with Ally. We had a lot of fun. I picked her up at her grandma and grandpa's house. We stopped by McDonald's for dinner. We both had a cheeseburger and fries. We were there for a really long time. She was a good eater, but didn't want to play on the toys...even though that is why we went to McDs. She didn't like how loud all of the kids were being, so we just ate and left.

After McDonald's, we had to stop by Wal Mart to pick up a few items. Ally bought Hungry Hungry Hippos (HHH)with her birthday money. (I couldn't believe this kid's game was almost $17!!) We also got the stuff to make muffins for breakfast. Ally wanted ice cream, so I let her pick some out. She wanted sherbert. So, of course, that is what she got. We also had to buy Sprite since that is what she likes to drink. I already had lemonade at home, so we were safe there.

When we got to my house we played and played. We put HHH together. For some reason, we had two green bodies, but all of the correct heads. I put the yellow head on the green body so that we could play. I told her that she'd have to take HHH back to Wal Mart with her mom and dad so that she could get a yellow body. She was pretty good at the game although she did figure out a way to cheat. Go figure!

Ally was a great helper with keeping her toys picked up (thanks, Aunt Cheryl!). She also helped me make the bed.

Ally loves to eat popcorn and watch a movie, so we did that. She also wanted to eat the "crazy cheetos" that I had. Doesn't she look precious?

We finally went to sleep about midnight (sorry mom and dad!). Fortunately we slept until about 9 a.m. We got up and played some more. We made our mini muffins for breakfast and played HHH while we watched Annie. Time was also spent jumping on the bed. She likes to jump on my bed because I have a mirror that she can use to watch herself. She's a fan of herself!

Ally's mom called and invited us to go to Sam's with her. We wanted to go, so we decided the slumber party was over. All in all, it was a success!

Ally is at a really sweet phase right now (she hasn't really been in a bad phase as far I as I can tell). She constantly tells you that she loves you and she always wants to hug and kiss. It is so sweet. She loves to climb up on people and cuddle with them. She's a sweetie!

The best meal...ever

Tonight I ate at Kirby's Steakhouse with my mom and dad. It was one of the best meals I've ever had! I had Fried Pickle Chips, a tomato and mozzarella salad, a filet with Crab, Bearnaise & Asparagus, mashed potatoes,broccolii and Creme Brulee. Yum-O-Licious!

I'm off work Friday and Monday! Yippee! I'm going to have a slumber party with Ally on Friday night.

BREAKING NEWS....I'm planning a trip to Vegas with Ana and Javier! I can't wait!

It Finally Rained!

I'm so glad that we finally got some rain. It was under 100 degrees today! Yippee! This is a short week at work because we have this Friday and next Monday off! I can't wait. I don't have any big plans, but it will be nice to have a little break.

It was a fairly uneventful weekend. On Friday night I went to Holly's house to get ready for the big party. I brought the pinata stuffing, so that was fun. Dad went to Oklahoma to get Ona, so I got to see her on Friday, too. She is such a sweet little girl. I love when she comes to visit. Holly got a Bounce House for the party and it was delivered on Friday night. Ona and Ally jumped for awhile while I sat in there with them.

Saturday was the big party. It was good. There weren't too many people there, but there was a good crowd. It was super hot! After the party I stayed at Holly's house and played with Ally. Saturday night we went to the mall to have the kid's pictures taken. They are cuties.

How could I forget???

I can't belive I forgot the most exciting thing that happend to me this week! I made plans to go visit Meredith in Denver! I'm so excited. I miss her very much. We are going to see The Lion King. We're going to have a blast!

The Week in Summary

This week has gone by really fast...but I'm excited that it is almost Friday! Nothing too exciting happened at the beginning of the week, but mid week...life got fun. On Wednesday, my car died while I was driving to work. I had to be towed from I-30 to the Ford dealership by my house. I was pretty upset, but things got better as the day went on. I finally have my car back and it is fixed. The people at the dealership always get me so mad. They guy I dealt with this time wasn't too bad.

Tomorrow is Friday! It is going to be a busy weekend because it is Ally's 3rd birthday. She is having a Dora party. Tonight I got to buy the stuff for the pinata. Fun, fun! I asked Holly if I could help her out by doing that. Ally has asked for a vacuum cleaner, so that is what I got her. It is pretty cool! This vacuum cleaner is named "Dusty." He talks to you as you clean. The one I bought came with a hand held vacuum as well. I figured if Ally wanted to help her mommy clean, I would help Holly by providing Ally with all of the tools she might need.
